If you can’t change the alarm volume on your iPhone, here’s what you should pay attention to.
The method of changing the alarm volume depends on whether you use:
- The Wake Up alarm in the Clock app. The Wake Up alarm volume is set using the volume slider in the Change Wake Up section in the Clock app.
- An alarm from the Other alarm category in the Clock app. The volume of the Other alarm is set using the slider under the iPhone’s Settings / Sounds & Haptics / Ringer and Alerts.
These two different types of alarms may lead to confusion. You may be trying to change the Wake Up alarm volume in Settings / Sounds & Haptics / Ringer and Alerts, where actually you have to use the volume slider in the Change Wake Up section.
How to Change Volume of Wake Up Alarm
In the Clock app, tap on the Change button of the Wake Up alarm. The Change Wake Up screen will show up. Scroll down on it to reach Alarm Options and the volume slider under it. Use the slider to set the Wake Up alarm volume.
Change Volume of Other Alarms
To change the volume of the Other alarms, go to iPhone Settings / Sounds & Haptics / Ringer and Alerts. Use the slider under the Ringer and Alerts title to set the Other alarm volume.
