Videos in the For You feed in the TikTok app don’t have time stamps to indicate the posting time and date. However, you can see the time stamps of the For You videos you liked or favorited.
To see the time stamp of a For You TikTok video:
- Like or favorite the video of which you want to find out the time of posting. You can do that by tapping on the either Like (heart) or Favorite (bookmark) icon in the lower right corner of the video screen.
- Go to your TikTok Profile screen by tapping on the Profile icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
- On the Profile screen, go to the list of your liked or favorited videos by tapping on the corresponding heart or bookmark icon located above the videos grid.
- Tap on the video you are interested in to open it.
- The posting time or date of the video can be found after the profile name of the video poster, in the lower left part of the video screen. For newer videos you will see a time stamp in the form of ‘…hours ago’ or ‘…days ago’, while for older videos you will see the date in the month-day format. For videos from the previous years, the year of posting is added to the date.
Alternatively, you can start following the poster of the video and see their videos with time stamps in the Following feed. To start following the poster, tap on the + sign on their profile icon located on the right side of the video.
